In the technology world, the TCP and UDP ports are more than sixty thousand. The port 58 is officially used for XNS (Xerox Network Systems) Mail. Port 58 is a well-known port in TCP and UDP networking. Here, the “well-known port” represents the most used ports over TCP and UDP.

A port is an endpoint to a logical connection and the way a client program specifies a specific server program on a node. There are more than 60,000 ports including Official, Unofficial and Multiple uses. TCP port 58 uses Transmission Control Protocol and it guarantees the delivery of data packets in the same order in which they were sent. UDP port 58 uses the Datagram Protocol and it provides an unreliable service. The datagrams may arrive duplicated, missing or out of order without notice. TCP port 58 provides a guaranteed communication than UDP port 58.
