SSL ( Secure Socket Layer) Provides a secure transmission between the web browser and the server. SSL gains customer trust over the website. When it is activated, the standard HTTP Protocol will be changed to HTTPS Protocol with a green padlock.
If you want to install SSL, you have to generate CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for your domain. Follow the below steps to create CSR through cPanel:
Step 1. Login into your cPanel.
Step 2. Select SSL/TLS in Security Section.
Step 3. In SSL/ TLS Manager you can generate CSR
Step 4. You have to select key as “Generate a new 2,048 bit key”, enter domain name..
Step 5. Click on “generate..
Step 6. You will get encoded and decoded CSR..
Step 7. Copy the Encoded Certificate Signing Request.
Step 1 Login into your cPanel.
Step 2 Select SSL/TLS in Security Section.
Step 3 In SSL/ TLS Manager you can generate CSR, Private key and install SSL certificate. To generate CSR click on “Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests”.
Step 4 You have to select key as “Generate a new 2,048 bit key”, enter domain name, city, state, country, company name, email and description.
Step 5 Click on “generate” and the CSR for your domain will be generated.
Step 6 You will get encoded and decoded CSR and also encoded and decoded Private Key.
Step 7 Copy the Encoded Certificate Signing Request.
You have to send the CSR to your SSL provider, they will verify it and send the SSL certificate after processing your request.
