Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is a vector graphics file format. It enables two-dimensional images to be displayed on the web. It is an open standard developed by the World Web Consortium (W3C). SVG images can be created and edited with any text editor as XML files. This format can be supported by all modern web browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Google chrome, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge. These images are scalable and it does not affect the image quality when the images are resized.
