Create and Delete Subdomain
This article will guide you how to create subdomains in cPanel. It’s easy to create a memorable web address for unique areas of your site by using subdomains. Alternatively referred to as a child domain, a subdomain is a domain name with a prefix. Subdomain function separately from your main domain. It is a subsection of your website.
Most probably it will take around 24hours for a new subdomain to show on the web or propagate. You can easily create the subdomain in your cPanel. People use subdomains for their websites, forums, Blogs etc. The following steps explain the creation and removal of the subdomain in cPanel.
Step 2: Select Subdomains under the section Domains
Step 4: A successful message for the creation of subdomain will be displayed
Step 6: For deleting a subdomain, select the particular domain and click the option “Remove”
Step 7: Then, click the option “Delete Subdomain”
Step 8: A successful message for the removal of the subdomain will be displayed
Step 1 Login to the cPanel.
Step 2 Click Subdomains under Domain section. To create subdomains in cPanel.
Step 3 Follow these steps below for creating a new subdomain.
1. Type your new Subdomain name in the text box named as “subdomain”.
2. Choose your main domain which you want to register the sub-domain.
3. Document root will generate automatically.
4. Click the Create button and wait.
Step 4 After a sub-domain is created cPanel will display the successful message.
Step 5 Select the subdomain from the list of subdomains under the section Modify a Subdomain.
Step 6 Select the particular subdomain which is to be deleted, then click the option “Remove” under the section Actions.
Step 7 Click the option “Delete Subdomain” for deleting the subdomain.
Step 8 A successful message of the removal of subdomain will be displayed.
