WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform instant messaging service for smartphones. It can make voice calls, one to one video calls; send text messages, videos, documents, user location, images, GIF, audio files, phone contacts and voice notes to other users using standard cellular mobile numbers with the help of Internet. All data are end-to-end encrypted. It also incorporates a feature called Status, which allows users to upload’s photos and videos to a 24-hours-lifetime feed that, by default, are visible to all contacts, similar to Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram Stories. It was invented by Jan Koum who is an American Internet inventor and computer programmer.
