Rename the database tables using phpMyAdmin

The information in the database is stored in tables. A database consists of one or more tables and each table is made up of rows and columns. Each row in a relational database is identified by a primary key and the columns hold a specific type of data such as numeric or textual data. The database tables can be renamed using phpMyAdmin in cPanel by following the below steps

Step 1: Login to cPanel

Step 2: Go to the Databases section in cPanel dashboard

Step 3: Select the option phpMyAdmin under the section Databases

Step 4: Select the Database in the left pane of the page

Step 5: In the database, select the table from the list which is to be renamed

Step 6: Select the option Operations from the list of menus at the top of the page

Step 7: In the option Operations, go to the Table Options

Step 8: Enter the name to be renamed in the respective field under the option “Rename Table to” and then click the button “Go”

Step 9: A successful message of table renamed will be displayed

Step 7 Go to the Table options.

Step 8 Fill the Textbox with the details and click Go button.
