Facebook has a data center near the Arctic circle. Maintaining a data center is always a headache for techies because of the energy consumption and cooling system. Facebook finds the solution in a simple manner that placing a datacentre in cold country. So they placed a data center in northern Sweden about 70 miles from Arctic circle. It is a one of the more advanced data center in the earth and incredibly smart. They used the air around the building as the cooling system and they are using hydroelectric power to run servers. This is an interesting fact that choosing a location for the data center makes the difference in the world.
