Email Account in Thunderbird
This article is about the configuration of an email account in Thunderbird. To Configure an Email Account using Thunderbird, download Thunderbird and open the application to configure an email account.
For the configuration of an email account using Thunderbird, follow the below steps
Step 1: Open the Thunderbird Application and in Accounts, click “Create a new account as Email”.
Step 4: Enter the incoming and outgoing settings for the configuration and then click “Done”.
Step 6: The configuration will be completed and the mailbox can be viewed.
Step 1 Open the Thunderbird Application and click “Create a new account as Email”.
Step 2 Enter the username for the email account and click the option “Skip this and use my existing mail”.
Step 3 Enter the username, email address, and password for the configuration of an account. Click the option “Remember password” and then “Continue”.
Step 4 Enter the Incoming settings as IMAP and Outgoing settings as SMTP, then enter the Server Hostname, Port, and SSL as mentioned below in the image. And also enter the username for incoming and outgoing settings and then click “Done”.
Step 5 The account settings will be checked for the configuration and a message “checking password” will be displayed.
Step 6 The configuration is done and the mailbox can be viewed with Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, and Trash folders.
Step 7 Done.
