SPF Record:

SPF record (Sender Policy Framework) is a simple method which lets you avoid email forgery issues. If your domain name has correct SPF record then you can be sure nobody is able to send fake or spam e-mails on behalf of your domain name.

The major idea of SPF record is that an owner of domain name publishes the information about IP address which is authorized to send mail from this domain name. The receiving server compares the information in the envelope sender address with the information published by the owner of the domain name. If these details match then an e-mail is delivered to the respective destination.

DKIM Record:

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is another way of e-mail authentication to protect the emails transaction. This method uses information about domain which has been published by the domain owner. That information allows the receiving server to verify if an e-mail message was sent by the legal owner of that valid domain name. It is a method used to check the authenticity of email messages.

Once TXT record with DKIM has been added to DNS zone, a special code is added to the headers of outgoing e-mails. The receiving servers compare these headers with the information in DNS zone and if it matches those headers, then the e-mail is delivered to the destination.
