How to change the author of a post in WordPress?

The author of an existing post can be changed on the WordPress website from the WordPress Dashboard. Sometimes, as a WordPress user, you may need to display a different author than the person who added the post. In this scenario, there is no need to copy and paste the entire WordPress post with a different user account. One of the quickest ways to change the author is to click on the option ‘Quick Edit’ in the posts list menu. You can choose the new author from the drop-down menu and then click the ‘Update’ button to save the changes in it. The following steps illustrate how to change the author of a post in WordPress.

Step 1: Login to WordPress dashboard

Step 2: Choose the required article in the dashboard under the section ‘Posts’ in which the author should be renamed

Step 3: To rename the author of an article, click the option ‘Quick Edit’ under the Posts

Step 4: Edit the author by using the drop-down option and click the button ‘Update’

Step 5: Now, the author name is successfully changed
