Changing root password in VPS:

Steps to reset root password:
The user can simply reset the password for the VPS either through SSH or WHM interface in Linux servers. A strong password can be created using the password generator tool. It creates strong, random passwords with a single click to boost online security. Follow the below steps to change the root password in WHM interface of your VPS server.
Step 1: Log into ‘WHM‘ with the existing username and password.
Step 2: Select the option ‘Server Configuration’ from the main menu.
Step 3: Then select the option ‘Change Root Password’ to reset the password for your VPS.
Step 4: Enter the new password in New root Password and Confirm Password fields.(You can use password Generator Option to create the strong password).
Step 5: Once its done, Click the Change Password button.
Note*: Changing password via WHM doesn’t require the server reboot.
