Go (Golang) is an open source language created in 2007 by Robert Griesemer, Ken Thompson, and Rob Pike at Google. It was announced in November 2009 in some of the Google’s production systems and also by other firms. It is a statically typed and compiled language written in the tradition of Algol and C with limited structural typing, garbage collection, CSP-style concurrent programming and memory safety features.
