The first Android phone was launched on October 22, 2008, by HTC. It was named as HTC Dream which is also known as T-Mobile G1 in the United States of America and in some parts of Europe. It is the first commercially launched device powered by Android 1.6 (Donut). It had 192MB RAM, 256MB ROM and supports up to 16GB of external storage. The device used a 3.2 inches touchscreen and also had an autofocus 3.15-megapixel rear camera. It has featured apps like Gmail, Search, Google Talk, YouTube, etc.
