Raymond John “Ray” Noorda (19 June 1924 – 9 October 2006) was a father of network computing. The Novell Inc founder who battled Microsoft Crop.in the early years of network computers. Noorda became chief executive of Novell in 1983. Ray Noorda made it software powerhouse, dominating the market for products that manage corporate networks and individual computers share printers and files. Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates once called the “grumpy grandfather” of technology, he was bitter over Novell’s failure to check Microsoft’s power.
