EPP stands for Extensible Provisioning Protocol which is a code consisting of numbers. EPP Code is also known as Authorization Code (Auth Code) or Transfer Secret Key. This code is required for transferring domains from one registrar to another. This code is created when registering a domain and it can be obtained from the current registrar for the domain. This code has 6 to 16 characters and it is assigned by the registrar. It is a unique code for every domain and it provides an extra level of security during domain transfer. It is usually required for transferring .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, and .us domains.
