The Swift is a general purpose language developed by Apple and was introduced at Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) 2014 as a replacement for Objective-C, Apple’s long-time programming language. It is the newest programming language from Apple which offers better type safety, performance, and security. At Worldwide Developer Conference 2015, Swift 2.0 was introduced with a number of improvements and changes, inclusive of Apple’s commitment to make Swift an open source language.
