The Apache HTTP Server is configured by placing directives inside plain text configuration files. The main configuration file is usually called httpd.conf. The Apache server is the world’s most used web server software. Most commonly used on a Unix-like system (usually Linux), the software is available for a variety of operating systems besides Unix, including Microsoft Windows.
