The first computer virus was developed by two Pakistani brothers in 1986. It was named as “Brain” and designed by the brothers Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi. This virus was created with the intention to determine the piracy of a software written by them. This virus infected the boot sector of storage media formatted with DOS FAT.
