Microsoft SQL server is known as the relational database management system developed by Microsoft. MSSQL Server is used to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications, which may run either on the same computer or another computer across a network. This article will help you to change the password of MS SQL server from the Plesk panel.
Follow the below steps to change the MSSQL server password:
Plesk Onyx for Windows supports both MySQL 5.1, MsSQL Server Express 2008 and 2012. During Plesk installation, both MySQL and MsSQL Server 2008 are installed by default. Microsoft SQL Server 2012 can be installed additionally also. And also, the password for a database user can be changed easily either logging in as a user or as an admin. Follow the below steps to change MsSQL server user password as an admin.
Step 1: Login into Plesk panel with admin user.
Step 2: Navigate to server management section and click Tools & Settings.
Step 3: Click to database servers option under the Applications & Databases section.
Step 4: A new page will appear and click on Database Server link.
Step 5: Now a list of installed database servers will be shown. Click on the hostname of the MsSQL server and click the option ‘Change Password’.
Step 6: Now enter the new password, then confirm the same password and click OK.
Thus, the database user password was successfully changed in the Plesk server.
